A free app for LGBTQI+ people in Cyprus and anyone visiting. Friendly venues, community events and support, without giving away who you are.
Live on iOS and Android
Finding a welcoming place in a new town should not take ten group chats. QueerSpots puts friendly venues, community events and support resources across Cyprus on one simple map.
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. That keeps the app useful, and it keeps it safe.
For many people, being seen in the wrong place can be risky. So the app collects as little as possible.

Nobody can look you up, because there is nothing to look up.
No public threads, so no space for abuse or outing.
The map can help you nearby, but your location is not kept.
I founded and built QueerSpots in partnership with eight Cyprus organisations. They helped shape what goes in the app and what stays out.
It is built with React Native and Expo, so one codebase runs on both iPhone and Android. I worked on the brand, the screens, the App Store and Google Play releases.
People open an app with one question. Answer it fast and the rest follows. Landing pages work the same way.
Clear promises about data earn more trust than any slogan. I write them into websites too.
Collect only what you need. It is safer, simpler and easier under GDPR.
Getting through App Store review and a beta test teaches patience and detail. Launches go more smoothly.
