Why I build them
Useful first, everything else later.
I founded the Spots Project because Cyprus has great places that are hard to find, and some communities need a safe way to find them. The apps are built to be useful before anything else.
QueerSpots was made in partnership with eight Cyprus organisations, and it set the rules the other apps follow.
What it taught me for clients
- Shared foundations save money: one design system and one set of rules for many products, just like a brand system across a website, ads and social.
- Privacy is a selling point when you say it clearly and keep your word.
- Good data is the base of everything, from an app map to a product feed.
